C1 Front Yard Graveyard
I'm not sure if you are referring to the metal Corvette trim above the glove box? but when I purchased my 59 one of the first things i noticed was the "ice pick" type dents all over the metal? unless someone has another thought I figured it was just from packing stuff around back in the day?
If I recall correctly, at one time, the Corvette collection consisted of
1953
1954 (3)
1956 (2)
1957
1958
1959
1960 (2)
1961
1962 (2)
1963 convertible
1964 convertible
1969 427 coupe
1985
1987 convertible
in addition, there were lots of other collectible cars
1957 Nomad
1956 Nomad
1957 Convertible passenger car
1957 2 door hardtop (2)
1955 2 door sedan
1930 Chrysler 2 door coupe
1963 Nova Station Nagon
1962 Impala SS
1963 Impala convertible
Multiple 2 and 4 door Impalas, Biscaynes, Bel Airs from 1962-1966
1948 Ford 2 door coupe
1963 Corvair turbo
1965 Corvair
1965 Malibu SS 2 door hardtop - big block
1964 Malibu SS convertible
1958 Biscayne 2 door
1959 Biscayne 2 door
Multiple trucks from 1949 to 1972
All totaled, probably 70 cars; all in the same condition these Corvettes are in.
This man was into collecting projects, not necessarily restoring them.
I won't even try to list the parts.
We did find a REAL 1959 vintage Breitling Navtimer watch in one of the cars. Unrestored, but complete and never molested. The watch sold for twice what the 54 Bel Air 2 door sedan it was stored in sold for.
Most of the cars are gone now, except for the Corvettes. The owner is hanging onto them.
