I bought a Summit Racing one 10 years ago and it is one of the best mods I've made. Spins my small block like a jet engine.
I have the original starter too if somebody wants it. It works but it's too big for my set up and, like all GM starters does not like header heat. When I built more power in to my motor, it increased temperatures and the starter started getting flaky. Under normal conditions, the GM ones are pretty bullet proof. But power plus headers? Not so much.
Tom appears to be the same starter but never saw the Enforcer on the one I have. Mine has been on the car for 6 years no problem. It was just PSL 100 super lite on the invoice. Price is same.
I bought a basic one from summit about 17 years ago and it's still working fine on my 555. It's a nippondenso design which is good stuff. Easy to repair if you ever needed to but not likely. Mine has a multi position plate where you can rotate it to several positions to clear headers and oil pans.

Is the one you have similar to the one I'm looking at?
Summit shows three categories (styles) for "mini" starters:
1. Denso (Nippondenso)
2. Hitachi
3. Mini
I don't know whether these are brand names, or actual "styles". The one I'm looking at is listed as a mini":

I have essentially the same thing on the W30 spec 468 Olds in the Cutlass with a Richmond 5sp. It's been on there for about 7yrs. ZERO issues and yes, it does sound kind of like a Mopar starter.
I got mine from these guys. http://www.hitorque.com/
Update to Summit website. Conflicting information:
If you go to the page listing ALL the starters for a SBC, then the one I'm considering is listed as "Mini". BUT, if you click on the starter I'm considering then it's shown as a HITACHI, which is good stuff. I'll ask their techie which is correct.
I get the impression that "style" means "brand" with "mini" meaning all other manufacturers except Hitachi and Nippondenso ("Denso").
The one I'm considering gets all good reviews and looks like good bang for the buck. So, I'm becoming firmer in my choice now. The only thing I don't like about it is that I'll have to cut the "S" connector off my harness and replace it with a spade connector.
The instructions also mention the likelihood that multiple shims might be needed for fitment to engines originally using an iron nose (old) starter. Anybody here have that issue? The starter comes with 2 shims and I'm thinking I might need more.
I have no ballast resistor so (according to the instructions) I don't need the "R" terminal...................I'll just tape off the "R" wire. I have to check the wiring on my car to see whether this is true, or not.
I don't yet see why some guys use a remote solenoid with these starters.
