Default Headlight Bearing ?

I've checked many posts but haven't seen this addressed.

When you're lubricating the headlight pivot bearings and the headlight motor bearings, what surfaces should you be lubricating?

There's the bushing to the shaft area and then the bearing to the cup on the headlight assemblies. Do all these surfaces get lubricated or is it just the bushing to shaft. The headlights on this '67 I'm trying to revive were so frozen up that nothing was rotating when I took them apart. Had to use a gear puller to pull the bronze bearings off the shaft and one of the bearings left the inside bushing still on the shaft.

The only C2 AIM I have is for 1965, and the only lubricant called out is saturating the felt ring with oil. Apparently the felt ring was to act as an oil "reservoir" to provide lubrication for the shaft over the life of the car.

But, I always use Lubriplate on the pivot shaft. It's my general purpose light grease.

That's it. Nothing on the outside of the ***** which shouldn't need to rotate.

The ball-shaped plastic (Delrin or Nylon) aftermarket spherical bearings will last forever, and require NO lubrication or maintenance.
