Default Electric fuel pump cutoff switch?

I would like to know where in the wiring should I put a electric fuel pump cutoff switch?
My pump runs through a relay, so how should I wire it?
Thanks,
Bruce B

Most relays have numbers near the spade terminals coming out of the relay. #86 will be the trigger wire to turn on/off your pump.

Thanks for the information , I checked the relay and you are correct.
My problem is that the fuel pump is controlled by my FAST EZEFI 2.0 ECU.I am concerned that if I interrupt the signal from the ECU I will create a fault or a error code.
Any thoughts?

mine is 'wired' so that the power circuit is manually completed in the ignition switch run position, before the key is turned to start. My ECM simply turns the fuel pump on/off; if there is no fuel to the engine, it simply won't start.

if you wire yours using a latching relay even before the switch is to run/on, the ECM will never know...

In my '72 C20, I ran the cutoff switch on the ground as opposed to the keyed 12V side of the pump.

I talked to FAST the manufacturer of my FI ECUand they said it is OK to put the electric fuel pump cutoff switch in the fuel pump wire that triggers the fuel pump relay.
I was concerned the ECU might not like it.

I have mine wired so it interrupts the relay. Don't have the obdll hooked up so I don't know about codes.
