Default Rapid Tac

I don't know if anyone of you have used this product before or not but thought it worth mentioning. It's called Rapid Tac and the first time I used it was applying decals to garden tractors I restored so when my clear vinyl protector for the hardtop came up at 60 mph, I decided to give it a try.

I called the manufacturer first to make sure it wouldn't harm the paint and he said it was very safe to use, it's not an adhesive. You clean the surface first using this product and paper towels. Then spray the deck lid and the vinyl where you're going to apply it. The nice thing about this is it slides around so you can position it wherever you want it. Then squeege out all the liquid and air bubbles. Dry using paper towels. When it's completely dry, it sticks very well and since there are no air bubbles, it won't come back up. At least it didn't after an hour drive at 65 mph. According to Rapid Tac, If you do want to remove it, just get your fingernail under on end and pull up.

I've used it when applying decals and such. Also spray bottle of water and couple drops of dish soap works just as well.

Same soap as used to apply vinyl window tinting. Dish soap and water is same same and cheaper if you can get out of the kitchen before the Chef catches you and puts you in the hospital.

Thought I'd really found something. Never tried the soap & water technique.

Yup - a couple of drops of Dawn dishwashing detergent and warm water -- good for decals, etc.. No mystery about it... Also good for wet sanding light scratches out of clear coat...
