which car is the ideal chasis donor to build a 1967 corvette with fiberglass body?
Hello: I am looking for "experts" who may let me know which is the ideal car I may need to buy to use the chasis, suspension brakes, motor, etc and transform it into a 1967 corvette...
I am thinking to use a Chevy V8 350 ( 1979 - 1980 ) but frankly speaking I need the comments of the experts.
Can you let me know your comments? Thanks in advance, OO

So you have a 1967 Body????
The best and cheapest would be to find a junk 1968-75 car and modify the chassis here and there to fit it!
A truck frame to Corvette would only be an interesting off-road vehicle!

I think you need to give us a bit more detail. Do you have a 67 body? You might be able to make something Corvette-like, or a restomod - but if you are talking about creating a clone, you won't get much help here.
Also, why 79-80 motor? That must be the lowest power 350 Chevy has ever made!
My suggestion is that you post up more detail about what you envision (and why) and spend some time searching and reading this forum. You won't find any "experts" here.
Just actual experts.

How about a 67 corvette, one with a fiberglass body?

A Ferrari Daytona would be good car to start with. If they were making faux Daytonas out of Corvettes, why not the other way around?

In the thread below the gentleman restored a '67 using the frame off a 75 vette as a donor. Makes sense as that frame can be had for a fraction of the cost a late 60's frame would run.

Personally I’d start with a 63 coupe. Remove that center bar in the rear window, loose those fake hood pans, open up the side vents, do a disc brake conversion, and you’d have a good start towards imitating a 67!

Definition of an "expert". An "ex" is a has been and a "spurt" is a drip, therefore an "expert" is a has been drip.
