My 62 has Hooker headers on it, that I put on it back in the 80's. It was a long time ago, but I don't remember any issues installing them, in fact I think they went in pretty easy.

Before the Hookers, I had a set of Casler Headers on it. Who else here remembers Casler?

I just bought a set of Doug's about six months ago and they fit perfectly. Even the "points" on the collector flanges are welded in position where they don't interfere with the insides of the frame rails. Highly recommend them.

Glenn, I bought a set of Casler headers for my 1st '57 around 1971. I think I might have bought a set for the '65 Chevelle I had at the same time as well. I remember they were "inexpensive".

I have "Doug's" on my '62.

They fit incredibly well!

I have a LT1 in my '59 and thinking about installing headers. Are the headers you guys have installed "Block huggers"?

Hey Dennis,

I don't think mine (Doug's), are considered "block huggers", but they do fit very nice. The quality is very good and they were pretty easy to install. I do still have the front engine mount.

Hello Bearded Dragon,

I have a 1968 C3 and when I wanted some headers I found that the Hedman Headers fit our C3's perfectly. They are long tube type headers but they fit my C3 with the 427 and four speed. I never even had to dimple or reshape anything to make them fit.
After 28 years the headers are looking a bit worn but are still working like a champ.

4 year old thread and the car in question is a C1, not a C3.
