Lots of tape Installed and sealed.
I straight up conquered this thing!
Not too bad of a job. Masking is a very good idea.
I put the lower molding on before shooting sealant between glass and windshield. If I were to do it again, I'd seal it first THEN install lower trim.
Always dreaded that job couldn't get my lower molding off to paint
the car it almost was bending left it on ,always dredged the rock not to mention if I could find the molding. Good job
YEAH...I know all about the CLR stuff GETTING EVERYWHERE...but if it seals it up so I do not get water leaks...it is well worth it.
NICE JOB once again and I am glad to read that you conquered it and not give up on it.
DUB
Couldn't have done it without you and the guys here.

Well done, glad you're feeling well enough to get out in the garage. Are you going to be driving it this summer ya think? :
Yes! It's going fast now. Need to:
Install trim and seats
New tires (215/70/r15 Mickey Thompson S/T)
Redo brake lines at master, flush system, replace rear cylinders
Side exhaust
Throw out bearing replacement
Touch up scratched paint (two places)
Not criticizing, but Carbon Tetrachloride, commonly referred to as Carbon Tet should only be used in well ventilated spaces, preferably outdoors. It was once widely used for a variety of purposes including as a cleaning solvent and particularly in the dry cleaning industry. The risks associated with it would place it at the top of my personal list of chemicals not to use.
"Carbon tetrachloride is one of the most potent hepatotoxins (toxic to the liver), so much so that it is widely used in scientific research to evaluate hepatoprotective agents. Exposure to high concentrations of carbon tetrachloride (including vapor) can affect the central nervous system, degenerate the liver and kidneys, and prolonged exposure may lead to coma or death. Chronic exposure to carbon tetrachloride can cause liver and kidney damage and could result in cancer. See safety data sheets." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_tetrachloride
