Default Screeching tachometer cable

Aaahh, my tachometer just started freaking out. Screeching and flipping over. Is this a simple clean and lube fix?

Thanks,
Troy

Sometimes they get twisted in their tube, and can cause damage to the tach or speedo. Be prepared to replace the cable.

And by 'replacing the cable'....in my opinion......I would replace the ENTIRE UNIT ...meaning the housing with the new cable...and NOT just the cable itself.

I do not lube cables as general rule of thumb....because IF I do...and the problem comes back...then I am having to deal with it again.and doing this for a living..I do not have time to constantly deal with a pesky issue that I knwo if I put in a new cable assembly ONCE..I am done with it and it will not require any more of my time.
