Guys,
i have the clock out of the 67 and the bezel surround is separated from the clock itself...It seems to press in with little built in pins....but they don't hold it on very well....how was this attached...pressed in at factory?...should I use some epoxy to put it back together..?
I dunno - if some of that black strip caulk (dum-dum) would hold it on (I've never had one apart) I'd go with that before epoxy. You'll have a hissy fit getting the thing apart later on if you use epoxy..
Mine fell out last week. Used a little super glue and then epoxy at the 3 locations with the pins. Seems to be holding up well. Should have taken pics.
You can use these or the screws that come with gas door emblem replacement kits, which are 2-56 self tapping screws. Process is the same as drilling and mounting a replacement gas door emblem. Bezel is still holding on since doing this repair in 1999.
