Okay. I cannot tell if the bracket that holds the coil is in the correct position OR does it appear to be bent or turned?
It looks like it is too close (turned to the front of the engine). Also, what is that condenser looking thing on the bracket, it has no wire in it, and I'm not sure why it is there?

You're right to question it.
That bracket should line up to fit inside the chrome ignition wiring shielding that goes down the back side of the engine. The bracket part that holds the rubber wire loom should be 90 degrees to the fore-to-aft axis of the engine.
That condenser is (or was) the radio suppression condenser for the coil.
I just did one. Your dwell window should be on or about the center line of the engine. the vacuum advance should roughly point about 1:30. the coil needs to be sitting straight up to the right of the dist. (passenger side) No.1 needs to be just right of the dwell window. If rotor doesn't point there at top dead center you will need to pull dist. and retime. With all that set up. The main cover will fit over coil, dist, vac. Properly.
