It's where the young people and kids who had already coped with and crossed through the Depression would remove themselves from their known small worlds, cross to literally the ends of the earth, and return as the Greatest Generation. God Bless Them, Everyone.

The December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor is the single most important worldwide event of the 20th century. It deserves the significance it is accorded.

As the Greatest Generation fades away, so does the reporting of this day from the media. Not much on the news about Dec 7th and it's significance.

A few years back, my wife happened to mention to her Boss, a Retired Navy Doctor, on December 7th, to "...remember Pearl Harbor".

To which another, slightly younger, coworker and fellow medical professional, responded "...what's that"?

This^^^. And the sad thing is, the high quality and integrity of this generation will never be duplicated because it isn't even appreciated anymore by the current crop. God Bless every veteran for their service, past and present. This day used to be a BIG DEAL when I was a kid growing up in the '60's and 70's......

Was working for a youngish lady boss (mid 30's something) in the mid 90s and she gave me a nearly impossible assignment. I told her it would be like the "Bataan Death March" - she had no clue what I was talking about...sad..

They did not grow up watching Victory at Sea on at 7:30 on Friday nights starting I think in 1953....

Music and pictures were really the first put together documentary series of the war.....that we baby boomers and others saw on the little TV screen.

Fox news covered Trump with six veterans of Pearl Harbor. Very nice tribute by Trump.
