My 61 came to me in Honduras Maroon with Ermine White coves, but my favorite color is the Jewel Blue. I could never 'get behind' Fawn Beige - purely personal preferences...

That's OK, Frankie - love ya anyway. Car color is such a personal and subjective thing - as my grandfather used to say, "It's a good thing we all like different things, or every guy would be after your grandmother . . ."
One of the reasons I love Fawn Beige so much is that it changes color so dramatically in different light. The photo above and this one below are both my 1962. Same car, different lighting conditions.

Great photographic demonstration of the wonders of fawn beige, Fireline. Probably my all time favorite Corvette color.

Agreed, If my 61 weren't silver/white it would Fawn Beige and white. Great color!

Agreed. Can't go wrong with a '61.
I like every stock color on '53-'67 Corvettes. The neat thing about all of the metallic colors is their ability to look different in every kind of light. My black '57 doesn't exactly do that.

I'm prob a bit prejudiced as the first late C1 I remember seeing as a youngster was Jewel Blue... I remember the color and the racket the car made going by me. Compared to every other car of the time it might as well have been a spaceship passing by me... I think the word 'thunderstruck' applies here.

Every color but jewel blue.
The fawn beige defines the era as an old fashioned color. It screams the 1960s, which is what a 61 is about.
Almond beige, like the 62 color offered on earlier two tone chevs and that bright blue metallic from 58 would have been nice options for 61. Other 57 chev colors and variants would have been a great fit, especially that root beer color.
Blonde, red head or brunette.....your choice
