Thanks Frank for clearing that up.
I was a little confused. On their webpage here: http://www.seatbeltsplus.com/categor...eat-belts.html if you roll over the picture of OE-1963, the picture changes to a brushed buckle with a Double C male end:

I called seatbeltsplus and spoke to Zach and he contacted the belt manufacturer and called me back. The picture is mistaken; the OE 63 belts DO come with the D "tongue" which is what my repros have.

I actually found some writing on a panel.
For years, I've seen several of you post pictures of writing from factory workers. Now, I finally have one for myself.
Pretty hard to see, but it says "D.Blue". Obviously for the dark blue interior that it came with.
Other pics are just showing that I'm whittling away while tearing it down.

If that vertical board just in front of the jack storage area is at all flimsy or worn - now is the time to deal with it -- it looks solid though..
If you are trying to save the door panels there is a nice article on restoring them in the latest NCRS Restorer - the piece is about '67 convertible panels but much of it applies to earlier midyears..

The vertical board is in great condition. No flimsiness, or worn at all.
Also, I just haven't removed the door panels yet. They'll probably be up next.
Unfortunately, the door panels are black. Probably painted just like the dash was. I will be going back to dark blue.

Interior is just about gutted.
Trying to clean, sandblast, wire wheel as I remove items. Then I'll just need to add the finish when I begin assembly.
Removed steering column, e-brake and hood release.
Taking my time, but still getting items done.

Looking good - if the E-brake is the least bit flakey now is the time to put a new pawl kit in it from Paragon...

I used Gorilla glue to "fix" my glove box door. I also used numerous plastic clamps
(Home Depot) to set the drying process. 24 hours later and it did the trick. I also replaced the factory (stainless?) inset and added a new script. My '65 actually had a '66 script. The two replacement panels have different holes, due to the script's being different. Sully

63 glove box doors are one-year-only and completely unique...

Got one. E-mail me papalani@hawaiiantel.net
Give me your address and I will mail it out to you.
Just to confirm that is the clip that accepts the screw for the INSIDE moulding.
Brgds,
Rene
