Default 65 door panel question

Can someone tell me what constitutes the threads for the armrest screws on a 65? Are they clip on nuts or what?

Those 2 screws screw into the inner door metal.

The ZIP catalog shows two "nut plates" that the armrest screws tighten into. Does anyone know what holds these nut plates to the door panel?

those are in the door structure it self. been a while since I looked at them but they might be glued or riveted to the door. or just made into it

I have the doorpanels off of my 66 and there is a rivet besides each armrest screw hole. so I guess that the plate you are talking about is riveted to the door. can take a closer look at it tomorrow when I am at the car again. if you don't have an answer by then

The 'nut-plates' are solid aluminum riveted to the fiberglass door shell. Pop-rivets will do if you are not worried about it being facotry correct. Nuts and bolts will do the same thing....and...using some of the 2-part catalyzed adhesives currently used in automobile construction can also be used.

I have come to learn that DUB lives inside corvette bodies so now you know for sure how it's done
