As Rob knows the seller had contacted me when I ran a WTB ad here on the forum and in fact that is where Rob saw the car. I would have been interested in the car if it had been the original Nassau blue. Nice car but I will be happy with the red 65 I bought, also bought through the forum.

Looks to be a well-kept car by someone who was proud of it. Phenomenally clean underneath. Great choice of wheels to announce your car as special.

The car has been a blast to drive, very tight and the cam has a nice rumble.
Been driving it since I got home with it, very nice when there are no surprises after living with the car for a few days.

I'll be honest with you, the color has really grown on me. And I'm a big fan of Nassau Blue. You don't have to worry about having the same color all around you.

Yes, that is a determining factor for most of us when looking to buy a car unless we do our own paint it just makes buying a car we feel the need to color change less attractive.

Rob;
Congratulations on your new toy.
I saw that car online when I was looking for a mid year coupe, and honestly, if it had been Nassau Blue I most likely would have bought it.
I am in the Huntsville, AL, so the car was very close to me.
It is obviously a solid, well cared for car, and I am glad it found another good home.
I also like your trim tag, with a build date of H 2 (March 2nd) and a dealer stamped delivery date of 3 19 65 (March 19th, 1965)
I see you are from Jonesboro, AR. I lived there for one year as a child, and completed the 5th grade at Littleton Elementary School in 1967-1968.
Congrats on your purchase, and keep us posted on your progress.
Your car may help answer the question that comes up so often ... how much does it cost to repaint a Corvette the original color.
Congratulations on your new toy.

If this is has already been said, my apologies...on my phone and hard to read all the posts...
I’d ditch those ram horns and the dual 4s...go to a 650 Holley on an Air Gap dual plane manifold...if it has a good cam it needs to breathe...get Hedman coated side pipe headers and if it has OEM-style side pipes, ditch those too and get 3 inch side pipes...much better!
As is, it’s still a killer ride!

Planning on swapping intakes and going to a single carb, the car came with 3 inch side pipes I plan on installing. I think the car will like the single carb better.

Well... I sure hope you post some pics of those new wheels and that color. It’d have a strong Grand Sport vibe goin on. That car sitting in the midst of by the numbers cars would call me like a lady of the evening. I give kudos to the PO for building a dang sexy hot rod that’ll be sexier with them wheels. AND.... when I post pics of my refreshed ‘66 in a few months I want you to know my wheels arrived 2 weeks ago. So don’t get in yer mind about any copy cattin. Anyway... congrats. That things real sweet now.
