Who knows ?
Wrong valve covers, wrong master cylinder, some sort of tag on top of the center ignition shielding, knock-offs not original of course, power brake booster ? Hmmm.
And I don't know what is so much more desirable about an early car vs late..
However, the car doesn't look awful to me.

They are asking right around $90K; somebody will offer $75K and the car will move at $79k probably.

The inter fender well covers have some kind od rivet instead of staples .
The early 63s had fiberglass headlight covers that's the only difference I can remember .

Not only are the knock offs not original, they are for a different year car. This is the kind of detail that would bug me if I had a dealership- I’d have to get some 63-4 style KOs on there or some stock hubcaps. That just looks funny. The painted black booster looks funny too... at least paint it silver.

The ads references the under seat depressions as an early detail that somehow makes it more desiresble. I’m with Frankie, I don’t see the enhancement. The odd historical description also mentions the “round gauges.” You could mention the correct one year only insert design gauges, but “round?”

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised at how much those wheels bug me.
Looks like the inside door ***** are chrome--shouldn't those be black?
Still, the car will likely sell north of $80k if the seller is at all patient.

There's a lot of things wrong with that car.
Besides the items already mentioned, like the master cylinder, valve covers, FI emblems, and steering wheel, it has an FI core support, chrome alternator bracket and chrome pulleys. Not only are they chromed, but either the pulleys or the alternator bracket are the wrong configuration, as the belt alignment is way off. A lot of little detail items under the hood, are wrong to.
As a September build car, it couldn't have had an AM/FM radio either. The AM/FM wasn't available till around March 63. It also looks like it has the trim bezel around the radio, which wasn't used until sometime after they started covering the dash, maybe late November or December.
That 63 sure has the look of a put together car.
There were a lot of differences in early 63's, and throughout the whole year. In the first 3 or 4 months of production, there were constant changes, some of them came weekly. None of them make a car any more or less desirable or valuable, at least in my opinion.
The fiberglass headlight buckets weren't really an early item, as most if not all 63's, used them.

If you had to pick one think that 'rankles' for me, its not the wheels, its the 64 master cylinder. Excellent repros are around now and its a 30 minute swap in.
And then there is that dreaded "white stripe" on the vacuum advance hose
Even so, the market is zany enough right now I stand by my sales price prediction.

Of course I think this car may have been thrown together to flip, so they didn't want to spend anything extra?

Good looking car. I like the dark wheels against the Silver!

Good observations - frankly I didn't go much further after my cursory look. Its absolutely a cobbled together car.

I'm enjoying the zaniness.

I was thinking that it would interesting to send the aforementioned observations to the seller and see if a response would be received, {or completely ignored}.
