Down the Home Stretch...
With the last year full of health challenges, the '57 did not progress as planned (or my '63 for that matter). Couple that with a lot of nagging little problems that just take the wind out of your sail instead of moving forward. Finally I can say that I'm about 96% done .
The car moved under it's own power for the 1st time today! Still don't have brakes- the steel lines are ALL leaking. I have a new set from a different manufacturer and I have to switch them out yet. It's a lot easier to install them with the body off, though.
Small oil leak; want to polish the windshield header stainless a little better before I install it; horn button assembly; chrome door lock buttons; window cranks, and the front license plate bumperettes- all pretty minor stuff needs to be done as well. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now and am getting excited to get it on the road.
I also see I need to clean the white letters on the rear tires, and I have no idea why 2 of the pics are sideways.

You have good taste . It look like the 57 that I have been putting together , except mine has the silver coves and Torque Thrust wheels and red line tires . I have always loved the classic wheels on the C1's .

Burning Brakes
Your car looks amazing. Although it's taken longer than you expected the results appear more than worth it to me. Kudos on a job well done sir. And I must add, I hope that your health issues are all behind you at this point.
