With that LS engine and those wheels, you bet! What a sweetheart of a car!

I believe that is the insurance company's idea of the value.

Default Why would the insurance company pay this claim?

Doesn’t look like an accident. Looks more like someones botched project.

Still seems a lot of money for what you're getting. Not me, but I'm way more frugal.

How did this unfinished project become an insurance claim ?...stolen? There's more to the story.

Stolen, stripped, presented as is with a few recovered parts, like the front fenders. The clean saw cuts across the top of the fenders suggest this scenario.

I guess when your Corvette gets stolen, and before you get the car back, when you see in the report that the 'saw cuts across the top of the fenders are clean' you probably loose a little steam. Talk about plundering!

Looks like the winning bid was $6100, which doesn't sound too bad for a 66 coupe with tags, an LS motor, etc.

At such a low price point its hard to say value without seeing it, if thats a usable dry frame with tags then sure why not ? Is that a Borgeson steering box ? Newer A-arms ? The LS FEAD and AC setup has value if relatively new. Might have been in a garage/business that was flooded ?
