327/300 corvette engine will not fire. Just turns over. I just replaced plugs/wires/ Dist. cap/rotor. Also replaced starter solenoid. Was firing and running before.
Thanks to all! Sorry for not getting back to your questions/suggestions. I figured to problem out....had the plug wires one hole off.
To be clear, did you replace these things as part of regular maintenance and then it wouldn’t start or did you replace them chasing a no start problem?

OPs initial post said it was running prior to the changes

Did you replace the points/condenser? If you did, perhaps the points were not preset correctly. Make sure your coil wire and wire to the main terminal on the distributor is pushed on HARD and seals correctly.
Get a test light and make sure the small pink wire on the new solenoid has power when you crank the starter. Also make sure that same pink wire is attached to the solenoid small "R" terminal.
Engine turns over fine. So it's not the solenoid. Engine ran fine before cap and rotor and wires were replaced. So it's about 100,000 to 1 that the coil happened to go bad. You can go down the rabbit hole if you want, checking coil voltages, solenoid wires, etc., or you can logically troubleshoot the system the same way the pro's do it. Your choice. Again: Points or HEI?

The solenoid was replaced at the same time. The engine can turn over fine although if it's internally defective the R terminal won't become energized to supply power to the coil.
A quick check for the OP, would be to run a temporary jumper from the pos batt terminal to the pos coil terminal. Very simple. If the engine starts and runs then the problem is with the R terminal or the wire running from it to the coil.
