I guess a real participant trophy would have some sort of platitude like "Just for being YOU". Even I could not quite go that far.
And here is your trophy. Since we all believe that we should be rewarded for just showing up, here you go.
Seriously though, when I started looking around for photos of participant trophies, I was amazed at how many different types of Participant Trophies there really are.
I declare the contest officially closed, and everyone wins.

jv04, thank you for the comment on my ancient Firestones on my 1915 Ford. The neat thing about them is that they were made in New Zealand, and the Kiwis used some super high quality rubber. They are not only not cracked, but they are still soft and provide great traction and ride. I have had them on and off the wheels for new inner tubes, and they are like new in and out. I recently had to dismount a couple of them to replace the NEW inner tubes, which dry-rotted and blew out in 1.5 years and 20 miles of service. In went the patched original 1960's USA made tubes....I actually HAVE seen bias ply tires loose a tread, but only the ones that were 're-caps' back in the 1970's. And some of those lost the rubber 'cap' of tread. But it was just rubber, and didn't hurt anything when it came off the tire casing. Nothing at ALL like the mess steel belted bombs make when they decide to let go. Great thread!
