I just finished a 62 on a Corvette Correction chassis last week. I went the 'rolling chassis' route rather than just the bare frame and used a 5.3LS with 4L60 trans.. He uses C4 front & rear suspension. It has only 80 miles on it now --- just a few 'shakdown runs'. (So far nothing has leaked, smoked, or fallen off!) A noted above, just a little trimming is required for the "A" arms, spare tire compartment, and steering column location. Bill will give you templates of what & where to cut when you get the frame, so no guesswork. I've had the car since 1975 and it has been like driving a totally different car. I'd definitely reccommend Corvette Correction.
Which rear end did you go with? Dana 36 or 44?

Resurrecting this thread and didn't realize this question was just asked. Thanks for some forum members I learned how to do better searches.
I'm sure the difference is night and day between driving your CCC framed C1 and a stock C1. I'm sure it's road manners must be more like a C4-C5-C6 on steering, stopping, cornering, but how is it for ride comfort? Better, lots better or just typical corvette ride, which is firm for sure?

Can you expand a little on the trimming and especially the steering column location? Do you still use your old steering column or ?? If not, where did you put your VIN tag?
For my frame and set-up I was steered to the Flaming River steering columns. My Vette's tag is on the inner door so I don't have the serial number issue.
I used Billy Dawson's frame on my 1960. I mated up 1996 Corvette suspension. Unfortunately, I don't have any chassis photos on this laptop. Call Billy. He is supposed to be at Carlisle. I hope all is well with him.
LS2 with 4L70E My favorite car I ve done. Talk to Mike Colletta. I believe he's done over 25 to date.
