I’m waiting patiently for the “hooptee” 20” wheels to go out of style. They look horrible.

To the owner: An absolute beautiful variation... Well done..

To others: I don't think the owner gives a crap about your opinions.

Looks great. How boring would this be if every car met the CF member standards.

You can see that what some people want is the classic styling of the early year Corvettes with some modern technology and comfort so where is the design engineers of GM ? There are aftermarket companies building these cars so why not the original creator ?

I couldn't disagree with you more ! I am one that always hated any body alterations on the classic corvettes except for that one . I think GM got that one so wrong and it should have been figured into their original design , then you would have loved it . I always thought the stock design was too plain for a corvette . Would fit more with a Camaro .

I don't see where they widened the car? Am I missing something?

I love the idea of putting your own ideas and personality into the build. If you walked by it would turn your head and then you's stand there like, "wait, what, I'll be damned".

I still can't stand those tires that have 2" sidewalls!!!!

I'm usually very difficult to convince when it comes to restomods and assimilated "new cars in vintage clothing" productions, but this is nice (at the exception of the grille).

Well, that didn't work. Kudos at least for getting Lexus to assist with the grille styling.

I've been waiting somewhat impatiently for rap/hip-hop music to go out of style. I've been waiting for 31 years. Still waiting. No luck yet. Ghetto culture has been 'in' since the '80's, and our society is now reflecting it along with its values....not a good thing.

To the naysayers, we'd love to see your custom creations. Please post them so we can see how it should be done.

Would also like to see it in person. Certainly nicer than the newer ones made to look old.

I for one enjoy the fact that you don't have to excel at something to be allowed to voice your taste or opinion. As long as the comment is in the line of "I don't like it" and not "it's crap", I have no problem at all.

That in and of itself is the essence of the success of this car. It's not easy to modify an iconic shape like a midyear Vette and stump even those with sharp eyes.

Look at the space between the headlights. Car was widened on each side of the stinger. Not easy to do with all of the compound curves at the windshield, roof and rear deck. Wish I could get photos of the build in progress.

An original for comparison:

Regardless of our opinions on the "big" wheels I don't think they're going away anytime soon as long as the world class sports cars are running 15" rotors.

That's fine. You or I or anyone else does not have to like it for what ever reason but it can still be appreciated for the overall effort and craftsmanship.
