Right on the money. All about context. When my '15 Ford was built, there were 150 miles of paved roads in the US and no stop lights. So, a 40 mph car with no real brakes wasn't a handicap. Much faster than a horse. Today, over 100 years later, living in the middle of a large city, different story. As I write this, am selling the Ford to a gentleman who lives out in the country who will be able to enjoy the car on deserted back roads far from the maddening crowd. I got tired of dodging cell-phone drivers in town, with my life in peril. Not fun. Have owned 1930's and 1940's cars, and they kept up with modern day traffic no issue. Both were Chryslers, the '37 had a straight 8 and overdrive, and the '47 was a big six with plenty of power. Both cars were much happier at 60 mph than 75 mph, though.

Yeah, i live outside Boogerville, off a two lane 35 MPH winding road that goes into a town of about 10K people where the highest speed limit is 45 MPH on the state highway that bypasses town. The '33 Chev does nice around here.

Back in metro PHX, when i lived there, the car would get run over if I tried to take it on any major street with the posted 35-45 MPH speed limit and the hoards of floor it as soon as the light turns green drivers.

Have you seen the price of a Ford Maverick lately? Everything has been turned into a Grabber and prices are through the roof. All I am looking for is a 70-72 2-door with a 200/6. Prices are insane!
