Default A Gaggle of L72 Coupes!

Not sure how common it is to see a gaggle of 1966 L72 Coupes all lines up - two Mosport Green and two Milano Maroon! That's a lot of vintage horsepower!

What’s the wagon in the background with the hood up?

Wow - Good eyes you have there! That is a rare factory original 427 4 speed Chevrolet wagon - I will get more details as not mine.

I thought I saw big block fender flags. Is that a 65-67?

Not an exciting back story - just some of my friends gathered with our respective Coupes. You tend to migrate to the cars similar to yours to compare notes/ exchange info and soon you have a bunch of similar cars ... I guess the only thing unique is that this picture was the only time they were ever all on one place at one time and that took planning!

Very nice. Do they all perform the same or is one more of a beast than the others?

I know the Maroon Coupe at the far end with the Gold Racing stripe was indeed a beast - a hotter cam and higher compression than stock and a 4:11 rear - a former Drag car. My L72 to with the KH wheels is bone stock but rebuilt engine stock dyno'd at 464hp at the flywheel - has a 3:70 rear so I'd suspect perhaps a tad less if you put them together in a 1/4 mile - but who knows - we never raced!

Great gathering of BB coupes. I don't think I've ever seen 2 Mosport Green coupes next to each other none the less BBs.
