Almost ready to pull the old harness and started to compare to the new lectric limited harness. The two heavy gauge red wiras are connected to something I don't recognize. Is this a fuasble link? The new harness has the two red wires but it seems I need another piece of the puzzle to make it right.

Reason: New photo
It's infinitely easier to connect up your new C2 harness with the dash out of the car as opposed to lying on your back and straining your neck. Pull the dash frame and support it with light weight chain from some eye hooks in your garage ceiling. With the dash cluster and radio installed on the frame, you can easily make a majority of the harness connections with it on your workbench. Then just take it to the car and all that remains (after bolting the dash frame in place) is fit the male plug harness into the female coming thru the firewall. This is how I did my '67 Corvette a few years ago. Saved me lots of pain and frustration.
As Frankie said, that is for the headlight motors. It can also be used for power windows. Of course you need one for each. Since these are hot, I added a cover from NAPA for both of my circuit breakers. Jerry
Before you put anything else in.....this is the time to deal with cockpit firewall insulation, rebuild the fresh air vents if needed, lube the wiper under-dash arm pivots and check that clutch pedal for side to side movement to see if the top weld has broken...
Frankly, I'd pull the pedal ***'y if you haven't already done so and put new bushings in while examining things.
