Default 1958 With both tops And Neither fits well

1958 Two Top Car. Both fit poorly
I’m in the process of working to get the best overall fit for both tops. The convertible top was installed last year but has large gaps in the corners by the windshield and in the center of the window line where the weathership doesn’t sit flush with the top of the windows. Rear seal and front seals make good even contacts. The Hardtop is just back from full restoration by Glasswork’s so will be adjusting the windows first to the hardtop. Can someone provide information on how to get better alignment of an existing installed soft top once the windows are fitted to the hardtop ? Will I need to strip off the soft top and realign the soft top frame ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a guess, but most new cloth tops need time and heat to fit properly, this time of year the heat will be a problem, the top needs to stay in the up position for several days in the sunshine to get a good fit.

After seeing this thread several times I had to look. I envisioned a 58 with a small dancing dress on, tu tu, but then I realized he meant two top car.

The Hardtop is just back from full restoration by Glasswork’s so I’m thinking it may make better sense to adjust the windows first to the hardtop. Is this correct since there is little of any adjustment on the hardtop itself.

If your basically talking about Window alignment for both...I'ts most likely the window adjustment.........IMO!
My biggest problem was rear contact with the deck. My vinyl top shrunk and ended up being replaced with a StaySoft top...
