Putting heated seats in a C2 Corvette.
I am in the process of putting in heated seats in my C2 Corvette. Living on the East Coast by New York I like to drive the Corvette in late Fall and early Spring between the snow and ice. Keeping it in the garage for only four months is my goal. Does not always work that way.
But the seats get too cold to drive at times and the wife complains. I want to hide the push buttons from the heated seats. I have speaker kick plates, so I cannot hide the push buttons there.
Any suggestions?? Please provide PICS if you can. Thanks!

Make a 90 degree L bracket and hide them under the cluster.
I added seat heaters to my reconditioned stock seats in my most recent restomod and was very happy with them. However, I mounted the switches in my dash since it was already modified.
Good luck.

My switches are in the center console in the old radio holes. I use a Bluetooth radio controller for tunes. No radio head unit. No help for you I know but I added a switch on each seat to turn the seat base heater on/off, for back heat only. I mounted them on the seat base. They are just about the same spot as the seat slide lever but on the left side. Very easy to work.

I hope you're not planning on pulling the 12V power for the seat heating grids from the existing fuse block; those things draw a LOT of current and need to be set up with relays from the horn relay buss.

I will be installing a new 6-Circuit Auxilary Fuse Panel next to the main fuse panel box. The 12V heat seater that I purchased draws on 3 amps on low and 5 amps on high. The newer seat heaters models have much improved in amperage draw compared to seat heaters from decades ago.

Burning Brakes
Heaters
A timely thread as I am in the middle of doing just that. I have a 66 vert. WARNING this will offend someone. My goal was to install seats that fit, were more comfortable, had a little additional safety engineered into it and would be heated for exactly the same reasons the OP stated (I live in NY on Lake Ontario). I carefully removed and preserved the OE seats that are in mint condition so that they can be reinstalled some day if needed. My last project was an Austin Healey replica. The seats I chose for it were the 1995 Mazda Miata Special-M edition. They were made one year only and were the only Miata seats that had a separate adjustable head rest. Very reminiscent of the seats found in 60's era sports cars. The wife and I drove thousands of miles on those seats, often for up to 8 hour driving days. For us, their super comfortable and provide a very adequate but not over done level of side bolstering, good lumbar support, have locking backs and can be modified to accept the shoulder strap in a 3-point seat belt system. I picked a set up on ebay and are having them reupholstered in bright blue (vinyl for the side bolsters and head rest, fabric in the center sections). Heaters will be installed in both. I did have to do some modifying, welding and fabricating to re-engineer the Miata seat tracks to fit the existing C2 situation so no modifications to the car itself. My intention is to recruit the ash tray (as others have mentioned) for the switches. Power is to come from the horn relay to a sub fuse panel I'll bury behind the waterfall, haven't gotten that worked out yet. The seats, heater and reupholstering looks to be coming in about 500 bucks under the purchasing of Scat seats (which I would have had to buy on spec as I have not seen one installed up close personally or sat in one.
I'll post pictures once they come back from the upholstery shop later this month.
