Default 1966 Silver Pearl Tires Red Lines or Gold Lines

Opinions wanted 1966 427/425 roadster, sliver pearl, black ragtop, bolt-ons. What color side walls would you go with, red or gold?.
Also what are the brand & size everyone is favoring these days?

Since you're asking for opinions, I like thin whitewalls on a silver car. Red lines look ok but not very noticeable, and the gold lines look washed out on a silver car, You can certainly get more sizes and a better price on whitewalls, but if you go with red or gold, I'd go for Diamondback 205-75/15 to get stock diameter for looks and speedo. It's not a knock on any of them, just a list of my preferences.

I would go with the redlines with the silver paint.

Default Gold Lines

It seems that at least locally, Gold Lines are pretty popular. Local Corvette Club Car Show back in September had a few on hand with Gold Lines including a Silver 65 Coupe and Mosport 66 Roadster. Last pic is of my neighbors 66 425 Horse Coupe, Blue on Blue with Gold Lines.

Both red and gold look nice. But white walls or black walls are cheaper

Yes to all options. Colors are very personal. Do what looks best to YOU.

Redlines, hands down. That said, your car will look fantastic with any of the above choices.

If your going for an original look Diamondback Gold lines, 65 and 66 were gold lines, 67 were Red lines, however either one would look great with silver.

That's exactly what I just put on my 65 Silver Pearl coupe and they look terrific. Red/silver the only way to go IMO.
