1954 Generator Date Code
I am having a generator rebuilt for my 54. My VIN suggests a build date of May 27, 1954. Would I have the generator dated in May, or some time earlier? I don't know at what point in the process, the date on the generator is put on. Thanks.

The birthday book is NOT right on 54 VINs
The gen should be 30 days prior to the build date - roughly

They built 300 in 53 and it took them all year
Based solely on math - they built about 303 a month or 70 a week
