I hope some one can shed some light on the two different maroons that I have seen for 1967 models. NCRS publications list Milano Maroon as the proper color for my '67. Any number of people refer to it as Marlboro Maroon, and that appears to be a darker color. My '67 had some extensive restoration work done to it before I bought it including what I and others consider a fine paint job. Seems odd that the paint would be so good and be the wrong color. Any comments?
All my ncrs stuff listed marlboro maroon for 67 and milano is a 65-66 color, they are indeed different in apprearnce also. Also I have a 67 which is 988 color or Marlboro Maroon and it is all original. Hope this helps. Orignial brochure also listed marlboro maroon in 67.
This is a composition of some photos I took this past summer that were transformed into a poster for my birthday. It took some time and repeat photo shoots to get it here, but I am very pleased with my birthday present.
Marlboro Maroon is the correct 1967 color, I believe.
Here is a pic of my 1967 327 Nova SS in Marlboro Maroon, circa 1970.
