In search of my friend's old '66 L-79 Convertible red/black
Hello,
My friend owned a '66 L-79. Red with black interior, and IIRC a white soft top. He owned it from roughly '83 or '84 to '86 or '87 in New York, on Long Island to be precise.
It had a Hurst Shifter, headers, a Holley Double Pump Carb, and maybe a different intake manifold. Exhaust was out the back, not side exhaust. Cosmetically it was stock. It was so clean inside and out you could eat off of it.
It would have been titled with the last name Shurgin, or possibly some family business name, or even a leasing company, not sure.
His license plate was BAD-66, registered in New York.
I realize this is a shot in the dark but does anyone think they own this car. Or can anyone point me in a direction to research it?
Thanks,
BAD-L88

Any chance you have the VIN? Otherwise not much chance of finding it. Even if you found a car that closely matched your description, you could never be sure it was the right car without knowing the VIN. Good luck with the search.
