Yes, the joint needs to move in two dimensions, so they are the perfect solution.

Maybe, since you didn't install the arms you could swap them for credit against the Van Steel trailing arms with the johnny joints - worth a phone call.
Also pic of solid pinion snubber.

Look at pics I posted above. Already installed the Johnny Joints. And it was 130 bucks cheaper then a swap The new barrels just don't have the guts in them yet there going to powder coat first

I haven't posted any thing on this thread because I have been waiting for parts. Well some are going to arrive today well I hope. In the meantime I told you about the paint problem well the two front fenders where redone but my paint gut saw a very small flaw in the left front fender. He called and told me about it and said he was going to fix it. Well he fixed it he repainted the hole car. At zero cost to me what a nice guy

Man, that looks good and you got a great painter. That’s what I call service.

Wow....looks great!! What color is that? I'm assuming Marina Blue, but not sure. I'm giving serious consideration to doing my '72 Suburban in Toyota Cavalry Blue with a white roof when the time comes.

My uncle bought that brand new in 1963 out of Chico Ca. 340hp 409. My cousin got it in 1976. He pulled the 409 put in a 427 and drag raced it. He blew up the 427 found a 425 hp 409 in a junkyard with low miles ran it until he windowed the block. Then he parked it in his back yard to rot. I tried getting it for years but he always said no. One day at a car show I saw him with a new girl friend he said they were engaged. I noticed she was not wearing a ring. My cousin happed to walk off while I was talking to her. I said you know that old car in Dave's back yard she said that POS I said yeah I want to buy it it would buy a very nice engagement ring. Two weeks later Dave called me to come get the car I restored it frame off the engine is a stroked 474. Narrowed 9" but not tubbed 700r4 original color kinda and original style interior. And so every one knows 409s are not boat anchors
