Does anyone have pictures of the 65 radio **** components? I know I can't find the pieces that say tune or volume. The guy that I bought the car from put a bunch of parts, from different cars, in boxes and in those boxes are several different radio *****. I'm pretty sure none of them are correct and I'll need to buy some.
Thanks! I guess I was just in a bad mood and didn't take the time to look. I can't tell you how many bolts and stuff I've bought due to the buckets of parts. He didn't even try to label or mark anything!
An important part of the radio **** assembly are tiny spring washers that go on each radio shaft (2) to apply slight drag/pressure on the **** assemblies. So make sure you get these as well. Most Corvette places sell them.......but you may have to search a bit. Paragon and CC had them.....probably LICS and Zip as well.
I still had to add a small plain washer to take up the slack, as the spring washer was not quite enough. Maybe previous owner did something strange with the radio install. but I had just a bit too much radio adjustment shaft length for the factory **** setup. An additional small washer added made it just right. Added washer I used was stainless and blends in perfectly with the chrome *****, etc.

Thanks Larry! I've been looking at the resellers you mentioned above and saw the small washer you mentioned. I was wondering what it was for and now I know. I'm still holding out slim hope that I'll find the original ***** and components, but it's just frustrating with everything in cans and buckets. I've been down with gout, so I haven't been able to do a real search yet, since I can't stand long.

Thanks,

I have gout too (and so did my Dad) - I take Allopurinol to keep it under control - haven't had a problem with it since my Dr. started me on Allopurinol 8 years ago.
