Default Current Value ’63 Split Window Second Flight

I haven’t seen a lot of activity lately so curious the value of my 1963 split window numbers match VERY CLEAN 300HP/350.
Also, it is ready for Top Flight judging. Best place to sell?
Thanks!

In all my years as astute with capital I have NEVER seen a BETTER buying opportunity for anything. Stocks, Split Windows, Chinese food, Wife's nail job, anything depressed over fear of this virus is a bargain. The economy is running on all 8, full throttle, full stoichiometric and what we have now is a temporary (maybe 90 days MAX) traffic jamb. The fear is not that people will die but that commerce will be blunted and that is what gets priced into the drop. No one knows whatsoever how bad that blunt could be, but since we are talking about a flu and not a plague we know it will pass in short order. Most important, the whole thing is intentionally overblown by the press with the hope of driving the market down, and so far that has worked...to our advantage!

Now is a GREAT time to take advantage of the senseless fear and stupidity of a bleating public, cell phone in hand looking for face masks. We should be buying Split Windows and stocks (assuming you allocation of each remains balanced).

These are the times money is made and good buys can be had by folks armed with facts and sense.

Put it in the CARS FOR SALE section here on Corvetteforum. The NCRS has a very active Texas Chapter. They are having an event in Austin March 28.

This is at least the second thread where you have referred to me as a flipper. I don't live on this forum like you do so I expect there probably have been more instances that I have not seen. And what do you know about "strong money"? I bought a car for market, paid tax and registration, put a great deal of money and work into it to improve the condition, and sold it for market value in it's improved state.

I am not a flipper, and I take your comments as an affront to my personal reputation. I will not tolerate it.

It wasn't meant to be derogatory.... I've edited the post...profuse apologies.
I flipped a ton of car's working on Dad's used car lot....

I didn't say you made a ton of money, but, IMO you got a "top of the market" money when you sold..
I'm glad for you..

Good grief...

I've never really thought of "flip" as a super derogatory term. Very descriptive maybe. Have I been missing something?

I'd hold on to it (I think the market is down) and money is gonna be tight with this virus scare. Just my thoughts.

No one here is going to give you the current value.

First, it isn’t Gold or silver, where you get a specific daily spot price. Second, you haven’t given enough information. Any restoration? Receipts? Ownership history? Original engine? Body panel replacement? Collision damage?

The prices on these cars fluctuate a lot. Best bet is to post many photos with your ad. If you don’t have a feel for what the market will bring, the auction sites with a reserve of your choice will be a quick way to find out.

Looks a lot like the silver split that was on Counts Customs this week that he chased down at the gas station. Guy said no sale @$125k.

If split window owners are stupid enough to start discounting their cars significantly because of the End of the World Scare of the Week, they are free to bring a couple by my house.

You sound like you are on top of the market. A guy named Tony(of Tony's Corvette Shop) who I met at Bloomington Gold has restored many vettes to national top flight told me that top flight or second flight local means next to nothing. Got to be national top flight. I paid Tony to inspect a 55 local "top flight" for me. He said "run Forrest run."

Beautiful looking car from the pictures you posted.

I'd say someone with assets of approx $100k to buy a split would be selling stock to do it as I would. Loss of 15% in value in a week would slow me down a bit if it weren't a car I just had to have. Corrections usually are short lived. I'm not selling any stock just now. Dividends stayed the same however.

As Warren Buffet the great investor says you make money in the stock market by being patient and taking the money from the impatient. Buy when there is blood in the street.

You really think reality shows are reality? Good script writers IMHO.
