What could go wrong? I mean the seller says that it is "original paperwork document" so it must be real. With a vin# 194675S137429 this must be a really late production https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Chevro...YAAOSwZ41eiABg

So, you go to the registry and find the car you want and send them the VIN and they will make a title for the state of your choice and you own the car???
I am thinking this is more than just a show document.

Wow, dummy me! I actually paid money to somebody to buy my car. Could have just given this guy $700 and had any car I want!

Check out the ebay listing. Is sure looks that way.
He does the same for Harley-Davidson bikes - another reason you can't trust 100% positive eBay feedback IMO...
You can get that rating and still be a larcenous SOB...
I looked as his completed auctions, and these are selling....looks like none of the Corvette titles have vin numbers that are original to any car, we might wonder why anyone would buy these...but on a restomod or scratch built car..I could see someone attempting to use something like this. It would never pass the sniff test here, but the world is a big place. I also see he sells for street rods, harleys and hipo mustangs...

These could have very limited uses.
For $700 USD, it is not in the same ball park as a vanity facsimile of an original window sticker that you can have made today using your own data. For $700 these would appear to have only one use - that of deceiving an uninformed potential buyer of a car with fakes provenance.
Amazing that this sort of 'freedom' exists unabated.
A novelty window sticker can be had, laminated two copies, for about $45 - that facsimile of a dealer paperwork is a far cry from a misrepresentation of a state government issued document...
I ran an NMVTIS check on one of the cars and it doesn't show up.
The vin# shown for both the '63 and '65 are higher than the amount of corvettes produced in those model years. So it would be a huge surprise if those vins would show up anywhere.
eBay has almost no polices, but this is clearly against one of the few rules they have.
Cannot post vehicle titles, real or otherwise. Takes only a few seconds to report it.
Yeah that'd be nice. I have taken the few seconds to report Titles only for sale which are prohibited on eVilbay. Try it. Reality is they do nothing. Seems to be more for sale all the time.
Although maybe if enough people reported them they'd take notice.

So if you buy from three different eBay vendors, you can get:
- a State-issued Title for the made-up VIN of your choice.
- a VIN metal tag to mount under the Corvette's glove box (for the same made-up VIN).
- a box of Rosette Rivets to attach the fake VIN tag with.
Not sure if it is because I saved this ad in my ebay or just because I keep looking at it. But lucky me the seller sent me a discount offer to buy it now for $500. This lucky thing can only be a result of all the good living that I have been practicing

I'm jealous of your specialness and personally feel disrespected as I wasn't offered the same incentive.
