I heard from a trusted source that the plant is planning is starting back up on the 18th, with production of 2021 cars. Approximately 2700 2020’s built. We’ll see what happens.

They had made 2741 2020's when the Plant closed. When they resume, presumably on May 18th, they will continue to build 2020's until September. My 2020 is sitting, unfinished on the Assembly line. I have a 2020 VIN.

Feel for you bud. Must be horrible having to decide which of the 5 or 6 (or 7, I can't recall now) to take out each nice day. It's getting to the point that you might need to tell your dealer to apply your deposit to a 2021. How crummy would it be to take delivery of your 2020 just days before the new 2021s come out.

I just checked the C8 forum, it's seems to me many complaints instead of praise for this new version. Poor engineering, orange peel paint, etc. If your still waiting for your order to be filled you may want to reconsider.

The praise far outweighs the complaints. I certainly expected there to be some teething issues with an entirely new platform. It's alot of car for the money, as Corvette always has been.

Think of it being a frame off restoration. A year doesn’t seem so bad to me. Since I have two more to go. Lol.

Looks well on track to be the most successful Corvette in many generations, maybe the best ever.

You are being sarcastic, but that is actually true.

Personally, I've always wanted a Ferrari but don't live anywhere close to a dealership and am not about to put up with the hassle that would entail. So the C8, with service available anywhere and everywhere, is a no-brainer. Rather than a "poor man's exotic", I look at it as a practical man's exotic.

And FWIW I ran it past the 66 and it assured me it would not feel the least bit diminished by the presence of a C8.

Some people have such a hard on for their dislike of this car, they cannot help but spout about it every chance they get......... I guess if it makes them feel good, and brings some sunlight to their basement, so be it.......

And so when did expressing an opinion on a car here violate any forum rules ?

I don’t hate the car, I’m just not crazy about what it’s morphed into.

I live in Florida. No basement and sun shines all the time.
