Cardo,
IMHO, you will love the Quickjack 5000. I've had mine for a little over three years now and routine maintenance on the car is a breeze. The attached pics show the first time I used it and I only had the 3" rubber blocks in place raising the frame 19". I have since been using both blocks together (the 2" and 3") which give me a total height of 21". Once raised and locked into position, the hydraulic lines can be disconnected to keep them out of the way while you're "creeping around" under your car. With both the 2" and 3" blocks in place, a roll around stool makes the entire wheel well area easy to work on i.e. brakes, tire rotations, brake bleed, chassis detail, etc.

If you expect to buy one I will wait for your opinion on the QuickJack before purchasing then.
As soon as you told me that the Quickjack was on sale at Home Depot, I went online and ordered the Quickjack 7000 for $1,199. The 5000 is on sale for $1,050, so for another $150 I felt it's worth it. Just in case I buy another SUV someday. And I can use it with my 3 other cars for oil changes. Delivery isn't until 3 weeks and I'm really looking forward to it. No more scraped elbows and stiff necks, along with invariably spilling oil all over the white concrete driveway.
Lief, I appreciate the picture with your '67 coupe also. I didn't bother doing any measurements before ordering it. So that proves that it will fit. My '66 doesn't have side exhaust, but one time it tipped off of the jack stand while lowering the jack and it bent the factory original side rocker molding. UGH! It's stainless and I never could get it totally straight without a kink showing (that I could see, anyway). So I bought a repro. And every time since that event 6 years ago, I've never felt comfortable using a jack and jack stand. This looks comfortable enough that I'll probably sleep under there occasionally.
I bought the 5000 from Home Depo when they had a sale in March. It's been a big improvement over the floor jack and jack stand routine. I still place the jack stands under the cars though.
I've rebuilt the trailing arm pivot bushings, changed exhaust, changed the oil etc. I can't get both 2" and 3" blocks under the frame so I've only used the 3" block.
But I noticed that the transmission crossmember was just touching the jack frame. I made some 3/4" plywood blocks to lift it a touch more.
The only downside is every time I lift the Vette, the %#@$&* front A arm poly bushings squeak and remind me I need to get rid of them.

Not quite sure why you can't get both blocks in there. With both the 2" and 3" blocks in place, I still have a good inch before the blocks touch my frame.
Hmmm? Now do I want the BL-7000 or the BL-5000? I do have a medium truck (colorado). Not sure if the BL-7000 will be too big for the corvette.
BTW gorgeous car lief.
Thank you. Both the 5000 SLX and the 7000 SLX have a frame length of 70" and easily fit between the tires of the C2. The EXT versions of these lifts have a lenght of 76.5"...too long to fit between the tires of a C2 and articulate correctly. What is the GVW of your truck? Can't hurt to buy the 7000 for the $150 difference.

Now you had me nervous since I just ordered the BL-7000. But it's only 1" longer and 1 1/2" wider. So I don't think that should make much of a difference. But an extra measure of safety for only $150 more.

From: Las Vegas - Just stop perpetuating myths please.
I recall my colorado weights something like 4900lbs and change. So the 5000 SLX is legally enough but I believe the 7000 SLX goes higher. Yes I just looked and max height for the 5000 SLX is 21" while the 7000SLX is 21.5". Lowered height is 3.5" for the 7000 SLX and only 3.0" for 5000 SLX. Frame length is 1" longer for the 7000 SLX but would that make a difference on the corvette? Half inch higher and one inch longer?
Well heck HD has a great return policy and thats why I like to buy from them.

Must be my Vette Brakes front springs and the 7 leaf rear spring making it sit a touch lower.
