Neither looks like the the one in my '64 300 Hp, but I really don't know if mine is stock. I know that it has been on the car since I got it in '84 or '85.
Mine is "solid" at the bend (no openings) and has a "torsion spring" along that side to hold the resistor tight.
On further study, mine must be a real rarity because I can't find a single picture of one like it on the 'net.

Thank you for the replies, my photo showing the resistor with bracket (on the bottom) is the same as the one from ZIP, however the top bracket was on the one that just crapped out on my '64 which I have owned for 38 yrs, that is why I thought that maybe that is the correct bracket, the one that looks extremely old. As noted in the above post's text, the ballast resistor spec changed in mid-year due to customers' complaints about burnt-up points - there is a service bulletin in this regard...
The ballast resistor shown from Zip's catalog is not correct. The originals have a square tab at the top of the bracket. I just don't have a good photo of an original to show.

Morning....Redbird, that is the same as the one that just crapped out on my '64, I also have another just like it in my parts section, that is why I was questioning the replacement from the Corvette suppliers. Could those be over the counter replacements or originals.
Most "originals" I have seen look like REDBIRD's picture in Post #8. My own car included. There was variation over the years with the original and replacement parts. Probably due to different places of manufacture or revisions/upgrade to tooling.

The configuration on Zip and LIC mounting tab is not correct...........it should have a flat top tab with rounded edges. Refer to John Z post dated 08/28/2019 #4. I don't have the technology to post picture. Also description in 63/64 NCRS Guide "original resistors have small notches on the outside corners of attaching tab". begee22
Delco was still selling those resistors brand new for many years (blue stripe only) but the bracket design changed to a rounded top and eliminated the little square tab. I have several NOS ones, but only the original ones seem to have the tab on top.
