Working on my next Split Window build between the Lee Bumb composite front and new old stock quarter panels that were in my attic for the last 40 years the body on this car is coming along. I did not use one screw or fastener to hold the panels in place. It makes a very clean job.

Nice work, and getting that front straight and secure is not trivial, my bodyman with 50 years experience called part of his crew in on a Saturday so they could devote themselves solely to just getting the front of my split window glued together. Also done without extraneous fasteners.

My last one took me 7 months to build and I love it, but it needed no body work. I can’t wait to have them both done! I am going to need a bigger garage!

Don is the gasser project now going a different direction?
no it’s still heading in the same direction other than I want the body 100% original except for the hood I want to fit everything with the original hood but I’m going to be sticking something through it LOL that way there if I do decide to pull it off the chassis and put it back on the original one it can be done in a couple of days. Without having to touch the body and paint.
How are you going to get the big meats back there?

I am guessing they are going completely under the body. Is your pro-street Vette going to get jealous?

i’m planning on fitting the biggest tires I can get in without damaging the quarters. Because if you jack the back end up too high it puts a huge strain on the U joints if I decide to race it! The pro street is very jealous because the silver Split Window has been out all summer and the pro street only went out twice LOL
