Interior Paint

Anyone have a paint brand and color code to match a 65 red interior. I have to paint the interior metal trim on my hard top for a color change. CA says their interior dye is not formulated for metal.

What did you use for primer? Did you use a clear top coat? I test sprayed one of the pieces. Sanded, primed and CA interior dye. 24 hr dry time. It scratches right off with a finger nail. The garage was cold so that may be my problem.

Thanks. I'll try again in a warmer garage. I already bought the CA dye and it does match pretty well. I would like to use it if it will work.

like everything prep is key. I would lightly scuff each part use a good cleaner, and then use a self etching primer and give it a go. I have used both the rattle can and quart paint from CA
