Thanks to all that helped! Brian of Corvette Specialties in California was able to find a nice used connector at a reasonable price and it is on its way to me!
I will check this weekend to make sure it is not still getting hot. Hopefully, it was the old switch!

Just to follow up, the heat damage must have either been caused by the corrosion in the switch or some previous issue corrected by a prior owner. I started Sting up and felt the wires under the dash, they were room temp before, during and after a 10 minute run. All good!
