I am cleaning up my 66 bumper brackets for paint and noticed some had markings and some did not. Are there "correct" factory markings and each bracket?
The center braces should have manufacturer's mark of a stamped "D" with a stamped "H" inside of the the "D". (So sayeth the Judging Guide, 5th Edition, pg 73) This is a photo of mine which happens to be off the car now. My outer braces are similarly marked, but only with a "D" (no inside-H).
