I have a 64 with a red interior. I wanted to touch up a few spots on the interior and ordered red aerosol dye from Zip products but it's definitely a bit brighter than what I have. Do interiors get darker over time due to sun, etc or something else or is aftermarket dyes not quite right? I hate to take it to a body shop for a very small project.
I just wrapped up a project where I had to use the Green Dye for my interior. I found the color was close but I had to redo everything on the headliner trim in order to get it all to match. I also found that there was a big difference between the colors depending on what you back the color/dye with. Red Oxide vs Grey vs White all make a difference in the final color.
63/64 interior red is different than other midyear reds; Corvette America used to have specific interior dye for these cars (see pic)
I can't find it now and it looks like there is some generic red that covers 5 generations.
Now that some 30-something MBA convinced them to become Top Flight and a second rate vendor I can't navigate their cluster-you-know-what web site to see if they still offer the stuff. Multiple search attempts using various numbers/phrases comes up bupkis.
So the advice above may be the best approach.

I always got my 64 red dye from Long Island Corvette and it was right on for color match in areas hidden from the sun in my convertible. In the other areas like dash and door panels that were faded I resprayed the entire piece.
I checked and find they no longer offer the 63/64 red spray dye either.
