Looking for a little help. I'm trying to verify that the powerglide in my 67 427/390 has is original to the car... The stamping on the right side transmission pan says "Y5H 24N". This doesn't seem to match the nomenclature described in the NCRS Technical manual. Could this indicate that I have a replacement transmission? Is there any other way to verify its originality? Thanks in advance for the help.

Your stampings don't seem to fit those associated with p/glide transmissions - perhaps you have recently acquired this vehicle? Is it possible that your car was outfitted ('upgraded') with TH350 3-speed transmission, not the OEM 2-speed powerglide? If so, then your pan stamping numbers make sense and decode as follows:
Y = Toledo (TH350) 5 = 1975 ('85?) H = June 24 = 24th day N = night shift
Pan differences shown below. Note that only p/glide has 14 machine screws for pan attachment.
Keith,
Can you decode your pan, as well as, the OP's?
its May 27th, 1967. I forget what the T and D is for one is the location of the plant and the other is the shift I think. this is from a 427/390 built in June of 67
