My new 383 stroker motor going in tonight.458 dyno hp 450 ft of torque can’t wait to pound the pavement.

Nice You're going to love the torque that stroker makes. I put one in my 61 20 years ago and it still puts a grin on my face every time I drive it.

And to that point, my bride's track car has a 377 (a 383 but standard bore), a close ratio 4 spd, 3.54 rear gears, and gargantuan 295-wide rear tires.
From a rolling start, in 1st gear, it will break the back tires loose.

You're gonna love that engine.
