All 63-67 coupes have poor rear vision. The split only blocks cop cars at a far distance and only on straightaways
Horrible rear and side vision in 62 and earlier with ragtop up.
Fake vents on roof, fender and hood are just a pimple on the nose of a, to die for, hot woman who can really cook
the mechanical simplicity and styling of the 62 and earlier cars is very attractive
split since 1969
sell it and all you have is money, which you can't see of fondle
Everybody knows what a SWC is, even non car people. It's an icon and a classic and will always, always be sought after, whether it's a ZO6 or base 250 HP car.
People who talk about bad rear visibility being and issue shouldn't own or drive them. They need a safer car, clearly. People who joke about the 'lack of visibility' get my approval. All in fun. If value and price had nothing to do with it, I think I would take a '64 over a '63. I like the lines better and it's a better car.
With the split and no P/S mirror you have to have your head on a swivel. I was taught to do that 57 years ago when I got my drivers permit.
I do it no matter what vehicle I drive.
Read the article. Its terribly written and inaccurate. The article is about “1963 Corvettes,” not split windows, so he overlaps the prices and compares apples and oranges. He quotes cars sold at auction prices, but neglects to mention those number include bidder fees. He references other cars randomly. Then he explains an NCRS Top Flight is “ as close to new as possible” while a Bloomington Gold car is “accredited as one of the best unrestored cars.”

Another 'expert opinion' just as bellybuttons and #&@holes, everyone has one. Bought my first SWC almost 50 years ago for $2200. without caring about factory numbers, original documentation, past ownership etc. and have seen the evolution of these iconic cars. Many past comments made here regarding some members dislike and disdain for our owning one and now that the market value seems to have exploded it is enlightening to have bought it and watched the market react to what is quickly becoming an American treasure. Do the homework and see where they rate in our automobile history and no apologies by us owners are needed. My 2 cents! begee22

Me too, that's how my father taught me to drive. Scary thing is to watch drivers today because they have no clue what defensive driving is all about.
