I'm trying to adjust the side windows on the 65 for a trip. The vent window regulators have 3 securing bolts at the top of the door and one at the bottom of the front window channel. Regarding the 3 at the top of the door. The lower one has a screwdriver slot in the end and a jam nut like it is an adjustment of some sort. I can't figure out what adjustment it makes. Anyone know what it is for?

I may be wrong but I would find it highly unlikely that there is any kind of adjustment for a vent window. If I am wrong certainly someone will correct me.

convertible are adjustable. coupes are not.
Tom the bottom adjusters moves the top of the frame assembly in and out to align with the windshield post
I guess I am describing this wrong. The bolt I am referring to is the one visible through a hole in the inner door and it has a slot in it. It is one of the three fasteners that hold the vent window framework to the door.
It adjusts the tilt angle of the vent window frame.
Tilt angle in and out? At the top? Can you elaborate please. A link to instructions would be great. I adjusted the screw and it doesn't seem to affect the fit.
I believe you'll find three bolts that allow adjustment of the vent window frame. If you loosen the two with the large serrated washers at the top and the one at the bottom with the screwdriver slot in the stud you'll be able to move the vent window up, down, forward, and back as well as rotate to some degree within the limits of the holes in the frame. But you won't be able to tilt the top upper part of the vent window in and out towards the front/rear centerline of the vehicle. That's what the slotted shaft with the nut installed is for. By loosening the nut you'll be able to tilt the top of the vent window in and out (read that as towards and from the driver/passenger) so as to properly set the top against the windshield post and the hardtop/soft top weaatherstrip at the top!
The three Phillips head screws shown in the photo hold the vent window regulator in place on the frame.
Checking the AIM manual as suggested is also a good source of information . . . . .

I found out what my problem was. I removed the nut and stud from the lower position of the vent window mount. The large washer that goes on the stud behind the mount was missing. So the slotted mount stud did not move the window mount in or out as it should.
This is a hardware kit for the vent window.
I checked the other side of the car and the washer was there and worked as it should.
Thanks for the help!
