Hello All,
Just traded in my 2019 Corvette grand sport for a 1967 427/435 Tri Power convertible. My first issue is legroom so I need some advice regarding a smaller diameter steering wheel, all suggestions would be appreciated.
Would like to keep it as original looking as possible but again all suggestions are appreciated.

A Grant 930 wheel will work fantastic for you. Good luck finding one though. Most places are out of stock, and if you do find someone with one expect to pay a premium. My guess is most of the stock is on a container off the coast of LA.
If you have PS or big biceps get a 14 inch Freeman Wheel from Virginia Vetts
SWC Tim,
I agree! I did not buy from them but did talk to them....Great Guy! I ended up with a full size (16") teak wheel from Mike Lempert. Yeah, I know they were not offered in 67........

When I checked A1 Racing it showed the wheel in stock.
I ordered a full size 16" teak wheel from Mike Lempert as well last month. It should be ready before Christmas. It's going on a 65 roadster. I am in no hurry so when he told me about his back log, I just told him it is what it is. He makes fabulous wheels. Well worth the wait. And to boot not the price tag of $1800-2900 as advertised for an allegedly original wheel which I wouldn't know the difference anyway nor would anybody in my circle of car guys so it would be a waste of $$. I have an old school manual steering and manual brakes to stop an L-76.
I need all the wheel I can get. I looked at the Grant reduced size wheel as well and would have gone that route if I had P/S.

Edit and Crop That "Bad Boy" Corvette Picture you have on your Avatar.......Then it will probably download correctly. Your making me stand on my head!!!
The column may be able to be moved forward if adjustment is needed. Check the distance between the instrument cluster and bell on the column. If is more than 1/2” there’s adjustment left.

I was wondering what glue he used to stick to the ceiling😀
I run a 15” walnut wheel with no PS and really like it. And I do not have big biceps.
1. It has an inch less dish to it than the factory wheel. Not a problem, but places it closer to the turn signal lever, so I've found it necessary to be mindful of it, as I've accidentally caught it with my fingers a few times while spinning the wheel. On my to-do list is to order a reproduction lever, and apply a slight bend to it to regain the lost clearance.
2. The wheel arrived with unbroken (read: sharp, cut your flesh) edges on the exposed metal. The factory made no effort to ease the edges. As one who hates sharp parts on any man-machine interface, I spent several hours with files and sandpaper breaking all of the edges. Tedious, but worth the time spent.
Overall, I'm happy with the wheel, and it came at a decent price. IIRC, I bought it from Summit.
I kept and boxed the original Stock Wheel.....Mike had a core that he sold me. Delivery was 3 months almost to the Day... per his estimate.....
A Lempert wheel also replaced the stock wheel in my car. At the time I think Mike was having a problem receiving teak from an overseas supplier. Build time was 4 months. When the new teak wheel arrived it was a surprise to see the way it came shipped out. The wheel came plain, embedded in and surrounded by waded up newspaper in a used cardboard box. No other wrappings or protection. Beautiful teak wheels they are.
The Grant wheel looks beautiful. Does the smaller diameter block visibility to any of the gauges?
That will depend to some extent on how tall you are in the saddle. I find that it does slightly eclipse the uppermost portion of the speedo and tach, but not so much that I find it annoying. A slight downward tilt of my head brings them into view. Different drivers could see more or less obstruction.
