People that complain about winter need to decide what is really important to them. If you are still working can you do it from home with all of the computer changes and the new attitude about all of this?
I know that many of you have family that is hard to leave and this is the reason that keeps you in that snow covered mess. So, think of how often you actually see the family. Look at the economics of it all. If you moved to a better year around climate what does it cost to visit the family as often as you normally do? Would they come visit you?
Is it time to downsize the house and upsize the garage space? Why do it where you currently live?
It is simply a matter of perspective. I have lived 70+ years in a cold climate. It is what it is. I like the change of seasons. I wouldn't last 24 hours in a southern climate.

That is the nice thing about AZ. From near sea level to 12,000 feet above you can be playing golf the desert fauna or be in the snow covered Ponderosa pines skiing all in the same day. Plenty of seasonal change here.

I spend most of my time in a county that has 37 people p/square mile. I like the elbow room.

I agree, even though I started this mess. My wife would love to move to FL but I love the seasonal changes, including the winter. I grew up on New England winters
I just don’t intend on driving my pretty SWC in the snow. I have an AWD Challenger for that.
Back in the 70's I used to drive my '62 up to Snowbird to ski. If it was nice, I put the top down; if not, I just raised the rear of the convertible top and stuck the skis out there. Then I moved to NH and found it almost impossible to keep the front wheels ahead of the rear so bought a 'beater' for winters. Now I put her up for the winter and move to Panama - 70-90 year round, and my 'car' is a boat! (We live on an island.)
Here in central Cali it actually rained the other day, other than that it is a nice time of the year to drive the old cars and put the top down occasionally.
